What could be more perfect than an English cottage garden on a sunny afternoon?- two such gardens within walking distance of each other and both serving teas in secluded nooks and crannies!
To help raise money for Himalayan Learning during the summer months, Jane and Helena jointly opened their gardens in Rousdon in conjunction with the National Garden’s Scheme. With lots of hard work to get the garden’s as perfect as possible, they and their myriad of friends and helpers, opened once a month throughout the summer, and served homemade teas and wonderful cakes, to raise over £2000 – of which £500 has been donated to H.L. to help fund school renovations and take pipelines with water to them.
Following the success of this year’s venture they will be opening again next year too – so if you are in the East Devon/Dorset area on the second Sunday of the month from April to August, please go to see their beautiful cottage gardens set deep in the countryside near Lyme Regis and enjoy the best homemade cakes in the world whilst helping Himalayan Learning too.
