Percentage score

At the end of every year Nepali children take a series of exams for every subject they study. The results of their exams are then provided to the children, their parents, and us. Generally the levels of attainment are similar to the British university system and come as follows:

70-100%

An average score in this percentile is very very good and is regarded in Nepal as being ‘First Class’.

40-69%

An average score in this percentile is average in Nepal and is regarded as being ‘Second Class’.

0-39%

An average score in this percentile is regarded as ‘Third Class’, and depending on how many subjects were failed, the child may need to repeat the school year.
